This image shows the exquisite brass dial casting that holds the Enamel copper numeral plates. Each numeral plate is fired with white porcelain and dark blue numerals.
Also highlighted are the hands. The hour hand, with elements of fleur de lis design, shows original bluing and flash rust. The minute hand has a bulbous base and is skillfully fashioned to its tip.
Similarities to the Gaudron mantle clock are evident here in the style of the numerals as well as the minute track along the dial plate’s outer edge.
