Lemoyne Star

This is a very well used “Lemoyne Star” (sometimes called “Lemon Star”). This quilt shows red print sashing and border. The blocks are set 7 x 8, and each block is different. Each star is made of two alternating fabrics with a third fabric as background. Estimated to date back to the late 19th century (1870 -1890).
